NOVI SAD
PEDESTRIAN ZONE, CITY CENTRE
Novi Sad, Serbia
69.000 m2
COMPETITION PROPOSAL, 2018
Competition for urban and architectural design for central zone for City of Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia and regional capital.
The concept was to use a natural approach to provide a human and eco-friendly space instead of a classic pedestrian zone with expensive pavements and rare greenery in bowls. The open space uses innovative, movable trees on wheels over the underground garage, smooth slopes and gardens with local plants, and everything is designed using materials sourced from a 15 mile radius.
