PRČANJ
TOURIST COMPLEX
Prcanj, Montenegro
24.000m2
COMPETITION, 1991
Author with Đorđe Mitrović, Nikola Žarković
The competition brief was to create contemporary apartments for a tourist agency. This was a unique project which offered a creative approach based on contemporary interpretation of traditional Montenegrin stone fisherman villages. All commercial facilities were contained within and surrounded by typical stone protection walls. A part of the wall extended into the sea and contained an entertainment centre that was based on local historic legends of a “sunken” town in the sea bay.
